Slant-faced Grasshopper

Description:

Atractomorpha psittacina psittacina (Haan, 1842). In my previous spotting of A. p. psittacina, I mentioned some points about the difficulties I experienced trying to sort out males, females, juveniles and adults. That was for the regular green subspecies The specimen shown here, as you can see, is the brown form of the same ssp. Now I have exactly the the same problems with this brown form. if and when I manage to sort it out, I will add some further info. here.

i spotted these Slant-faced Grasshoppers on a patch of Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas) behind the rice mill water tanks.
