Unidentified Eumolpinae
Coleoptera; Chrysomelidae; Eumolpinae; Unidentified Eumolpinae. I have displayed three photos in order to demonstrate that this Leaf Beetle exists in at least three metallic, iridescent colours, bronze, green and blue. To achieve this, I had to break the rules of Project Noah and I am prepared to withdraw this spotting if necessary. One of the rules is that pictures must all be of the same spotting. When I checked through my pictures of this beetle, I did not have all three colours photographed in the same place and on the same day. The best I could do was to pick out three photos taken in the same place, but on three different dates. In that way, I was able to show the three colours, all ,of which are quite common in this area. Just to keep everything above board, the dates of the pictures are: Bronze - Aug 22, 2017. Green - May 29, 2020. Blue - Jun 22, 2016. The reason for all this is that I think these beetles are Colasposoma mutabile Baly, 1867, but according to Wikipedia this species is not present in Philippines. Please look at Wiki's pictures and compare them with mine and let me know what you think.
All three of the beetles shown here were spotted on Sweet Potato Vine Leaves (Ipomoea batatas) behind the rice mill cooling tank.
