An endemic species to Sri Lanka. This is a very rare photograph as the photograph contains a juvenile bird. What is in the second photograph is a adult bird.

Habitat:

Build nest alomost close to human habits to avoid predators (Toque Macaque, Crows & Myna) coming into the nest. Very shy bird and once disturbed it will isolate the eggs as well as the chicks..
