Achilid Planthopper

Description:

Cool bark-patterned Hopper with round antennae and ridges on the pronotum. About 8 mm long. Notice how the forewings overlap, a characteristic of the Family Achilidae. This may be a species of the genus Catonia (https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Habi...).

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden (pine forest), San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
