Spiky Tree

Kingdom: Plantae

Description:

The trunk of the tree is very spiky

Habitat:

Found on mountainous, forested and moist environment.

Notes:

I have zero idea what species of tree this is nor its genus and family. Because I only have photos of the bark and no leaves, flowers, or fruit then identifying it would be impossible. I've browsed the Internet for any similar-looking trees in the Philippines but to no avail. I initially thought it would be from the genus Gleditsia but there is no record of this species in this place. and just basing it from bark alone is ineffective as there is so many species that has the same spiky bark. It could be that this species is rare or just recently introduced?
