Description:

slightly different view of a banana owl butterfly than my last spotting,slightly older specimen, but better view of wings

Notes:

They hardly stopped moving so I was lucky to get these shots

Unfortunately, these guys were either flapping, or landed with wings closed. Very frustrating to photograph, much less ID

Bad link, I guess, but I think you mean the other one I IDed as the same one. It helps not really, I still need some millimeters to see ;-)...

Tricky one! It is very similar to Caligo atreus dionysos, but I think this one is Caligo uranus. Do you have any other shot? I just need to see the upper border of the hindwing a little bit clearer.

Banana Owl is an odd name for such a pretty butterfly!
