Leaf Miner

Description:

A long leaf miner's trail between the layers of a leaf. You can follow the trail from the spot where the egg was laid (on the right side of the leaf), with the trail growing in size as the larva grows. At the end of the trail there is a widened area where pupation took place and a hole where the adult emerged.

Habitat:

Bushes along the Rio Grijalva, Nacional Park of the Sumidero Canyon, Chiapas, Mexico.
