Description:

Tiny worm or parasite living within a soft piece of something that looks like bark. The worm creature has tiny legs that as it stretches out of its home it pulls its home behind it scooting along. It can go in its home and come out the other end too. Total length about 1 1/2 cm. This is the second one I have found in my home.

High humidity Hot

This is a bag worm. Your description of how it moves is great. It will become a moth, so you should change it's category to Arthropod.
