Katydid Nymph

Description:

This nymph measures just over 1" long. This is the first I have seen with transparent wings. It may be a stage in the nymphs transformation. S;potted on Ixora.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica 4.5 months into the 6 month rainy season.

I think you may be right. The spiky legs were throwing me off and I thought it might be a predatory katydid. However, the wing structure is akin to the crickets.
