American Robin

Turdus migratorius

Notes:

I was having fun just sitting in one spot where robins and bluebirds were feeding on bittersweet berries, watching and photographing the birds on a warm sunny day.

Thanks Arya. I shoot everything in RAW and was shooting in the AV mode at f8 with the ISO set at 320 and since I had a light background I set the exposure compensation at +2/3. The lens is 500mm with a 1.4x teleconvertor and a 5D Mark II camera. Here's the picture on my site with all the shooting info: http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/154...

Tom, the colors are beautiful! Nice shot. Mind if I ask what settings/equipment you use?

Thanks Rieko. I hope spring comes soon! The weather forecast is for another arctic vortex keeping the temperatures way below normal for the next week:-(
