The Calumet, sometimes called Bamboo Reunion (Nastus borbonicus) is bamboo endemic to the island of La Réunion in the Indian Ocean. Its wood is very resistant to fire, and it is capable of forming dense thickets enough. It is often found in "cohabitation" with Tamarin high, particularly in the west and north of the island.
