Grass Spider (and web)

Agelenopsis sp.

Description:

Small to medium sized spider. Brown with darker and lighter stripes on thorax and abdomen. Builds horizontal, sheet-like webs, often in the grass, with a funnel at one end where the spider hides.

Habitat:

Suburban yard, in the lawn.

Notes:

The web was so pretty with the dew sitting on it.
