Hi Daniele, thanks for sharing it with the Bats of Africa mission!

It's definitely a vesper bat, and belonging to a group commonly called "pipistrelles" or "pipisistrelle bats". Unfortunately, in the region of your spotting there are quite a few candidates from different genera (e.g. Pipistrellus sp., Neoromicia sp., Hypsugo sp.), so we can't say much more than that it is a nice observation of a cute insect eater that reduces the biting bugs around your sons' house ;-)

Keep an eye out for other bats, hopefully you'll spot one that is easier to identify!
