This small snake about a foot and a half long was in the leaf litter at the edge of a trail at Pico Bonito.

I'm pretty certain this is a sub-adult Mastigodryas. As they get older the dorsal patterning fades and dorso lateral stripes will appear. Very commonly encountered.
