Greater Angle-wing Katydid

Microcentrum rhombifolium

Description:

Large, wedge-shaped katydid with relatively short hind legs.

Habitat:

Deciduous forest interrupted by agricultural fields and rural townships.

Notes:

Females are very large. Not sure what is happening with the trio in the last image. Perhaps the female is feeding on some kind of glandular secretion from the back of the male.
