Masked laughingthrush is also known as Black-faced laughingthrush. As they are often seen in a small noisy flock of seven, it also gained the name of "Seven sisters" (七姊妹).


Masked laughingthrush is a terrestrial resident bird found in rural areas in Hong Kong.
