Dandelion-like thistle flower, these grow all over the airfield in summer up to about 60cm high and the spines are very sharp.
Mountain airfield at 1100 metres asl, grass with scattered shrubs and bushes and a pond which often dries out in summer. Often used for grazing sheep.
