Mealy bug and ant

Pseudococcidae

Description:

Mealybugs are insects in the family Pseudococcidae. They are considered pests as they feed on plant juices and also act as a vector for several plant diseases. Ants breed and protect mealy bugs for their honeydew secretions - when they stroke a mealybug’s abdomen it responds by exuding a drop of honeydew.
