The patterning of yours to Incilius fastidiosus is accurate. Probably is a nymph of the Pico Blanco toad, for which I think the adults have more yellowish spots than the nymphs :)

The two main contenders for this seem to be either Holdridge's toad (Incilius holdridgei) or Pico Blanco toad (Incilius fastidiosus), both of which are critically endangered and thought close to, if not extinct.

From the descriptions here I'm leaning towards the Pico Blanco.

I guess you're lucky then Chris, it looks similar enough :)

Possible - looks similar to this... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picture...

although I doubt I'd be lucky enough to spot something that is possibly extinct!

Nice spotting Chris. Just a wild guess, but maybe some type of rain frog (pristimantis sp.)

Thanks, I love it already. I'm trying to finish a photo book from my Costa Rica trip, this frog is one of the last things not identified yet so any help would be appreciated.

So tiny. Well, from little things big things grow. I hope you enjoy the site :)
