Description:

A small finch. Males are rosey red around the face and upper breast. Very streaky brown on chest, back and tail.

Habitat:

Several feeding on the ground below the trees beside a creek in a neighborhood park. House Finches eat almost exclusively plant materials, including seeds, buds and fruits.
