Running Crab Spider

Philodromus sp.

Description:

This tiny, clever spider made a home where an orange leaf split and healed. It was small enough that it could hide in the thickness of the leaf without being easily seen. I saw it on the same leaf a few days later, so its hiding place must have been working.

Habitat:

Orange tree in a shady, suburban yard next to mixed forest
