Description:

The marbled orb weaver is one of the more colorful Araneus species. This one was found in a light wooded area off the shore of Ford Lake in Ypsilanti, MI. Her web was easily a couple feet in diameter.

It is difficult to decide what my favorite spider is, but I found so many of these last summer and fall, I guess I like these the best. I might change my mind.
