2 egg? cases attached to a fallen coconut palm frond. Just over 1/2" in length. 1/2" diameter. Thin but strong, did'nt break when I tried to detach it from the frond

If it is a pupal case then it would probably be on it's food plant.
This is a cupmoth pupae exuvia in my opinion.
