African Elephant

Loxodonta africana

Description:

This elephant was as determined to get the acacia leaves as the acacia was to keep them out of reach. After trying to knock the tree over he resorted to reaching up. Why those particular, hard to reach leaves we don't know. However, it made for a nice spotting I feel

Habitat:

Seen here in the savanna of Buffalo Springs National Reserve
