About 8cm long, Sort of a straw coloured grass hopper with stripes of a slightly darker shade. He was holding his first pair of legs up out in front of his head, to give him a much more elongated appearance. And big eyes, striped eyes.
Well.. seen on my car in a very urban back yard, but looks like he belongs on the grasses..
