Description:

Small sea bird, approx 20cm standing. White body with darker grey wings. Black crest on the back of the head, black marking extending along the face and around the eye, making the eye look bigger than it is. Long straight strong orange beak.

Habitat:

Seen on the sandy beaches of coastal islands.
