White Bellied Go-Away Bird

Corythaixoides leucogaster

Description:

Quite a big bird, more than 30-40cm with his long tail. Dark grey head and body and tail, with white belly and white stripe across the tail. Tuft of grey hair on his head which moves up and down with his .. curiosity. A typically lovely vocal of the Turaco's and sometimes really does sound like 'go away' .. but actually very curious creature quite interested in what is going on.

Habitat:

Seen in woodland in Tarangire National park

Notes:

Beautiful bird.
