Description:

Brown lizard

Habitat:

Trees

Notes:

my daughter found this little guy in the Target. Inside of a display case. He was very weak. We grabbed him and took him outside and put him in the grass. I hope that helped.

This little cute lizard is an introduced species of Gecko. I agree with EnvUnlimited, this is most likely a Common House Gecko. Green Anoles (which can be green or brown depending on mood and health) look like this:

Other species of Anole live in Florida and have similar physical features to the Green Anole.

Definitely not a Anole or Skink. Look at the feet. Both the Anole and Skink have long toes on the rear feet. The House and most geckos have short stubby toes on front and rear.

It might be a ground skink. In one of my spotting, a suggestion said it was a ground skink.
