Lobobunaea acetes
Lobobunaea acetes is a species of moths in the Saturniidae family. It is found in Angola, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Uganda.
Sptted late at night. It displays its eye-spotted hind wings to deter potential predators or disturbances.
Mix up. Several similar unidentified eye-spotted saturniid moths in the vault. I've deleted the odd one out. Thank you :)
