Large beetle, about 2.5cm long, orange and black sort of checkered pattern all over. Legs also black and orange stripes. Black shiny eyes, seems to be sort of fuzzy body under the wings. But for the life of me I could not see any antennae.. maybe they are very short?
Seen in a semi wild park garden, mostly unkept, very close to the beach.
