Saw these in a park near Daytona. I was hoping they are small hericium erinaceous...
It appears to be the same as this : http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/169.... The suggestion is similar but from Europe, so I am uncertain if it is correct.
This is definitely not H. erinaceous, I have a spotting that looks similar to the first picture, http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/168... . When seeking ID for fungi it is always helpful to note the trees they are growing on, or are in the area.
