Three leaves - trifoliate with three almond-shaped leaflets; trailing vine, contains urushiol which is a clear liquid compound in the sap of the plant that causes a painful itchy rash; considered an unwelcome weed to humans but iscommonly eaten by many animals, and the seeds are consumed by birds; deciduous, leaves turn reddish yellow in fall
