Description:

Large tree to 15m tall, produces large figs 3-4cm across from the main trunk and branches. The figs are edible being yellow/orange when ripe. The fig is an inside/out inflorescence with many small flowers inside the fig. Pollination occurs from very small wasps, the males mate with females in the fig and never leave. The females exit the fig to lay eggs inside another, pollinating as a consequence. Member of the Moraceae family.
