Family: Betulaceae Betula papyrifera

Description:

Paper birch, thin flaking bark, large lateral branches

Habitat:

Located in mulch bed inside the wetlands, closest to west fence.

Notes:

No sign of pest infestation, overall healthy tree. top has been pruned off likely due to it dying off. Very few leaves remain on the tree, check back in the spring to ensure this is because of the season change and not an undiagnosed disease.
