Limoniid Crane Fly

Orimarga mirabilis

Description:

Tiny, slender and dark. Long, thin legs with dark "knees". I was able to find very little information on this genus and even fewer images. I almost missed this interesting little crane fly due to the size and where it chose to rest on my moth sheet. I hope I get a chance to see more of them next season.

Habitat:

Suburban backyard. Attracted to a blacklight.
