Notes:

Taken at the ferry terminal at Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island, South Australia. It was being predated by an unknown sp. of grasshopper, hence the lack of a leg! I suspect it to be some kind of Abantiades species, but am by no means certain of this.

Great find Dave. I agree it looks like a Hepialidae.. the leg muncher would have been katydid (Tettigoniidae) not grasshopper. :)
