Eurasian Tree Sparrow

Passer montanus

Description:

Small, stocky bird with white cheek and cinnamon coloured crown. Looks a lot like the house sparrow but has a black spot on the cheek.

Habitat:

Lawns of the resort we stayed in at the remote village of Borong, Sikkim. These sparrows had nest(s?) inside a bush and kept diving in when they thought no one was looking.
