Nezara viridula f. smaragdula
Balcony, attracted from the surrounding countryside by night light.
Limestone outcrop in foothills of Los Serranos mountains.
Dear Malcolm, thanks for the explanation. I've had just a quick look using my iPod ;-).
Thanks again Torsten.
A tip: to see the first picture at full posted size click on it and wait for it to appear a little bigger with a black surround. Next right click and select "Open in new tab". Next, open the new tab, go to the address bar and it should have 1200 at the end - change the 1200 to 6000 and hit "enter". Finally, when the screen shows an even bigger picture the mouse cursor should change to a plus sign - left click for a full size picture. You will see the black and 1st white dot clearly.
Hi Malcolm, the white/black marks on the scutellum are not to be seen very clearly in this position - but I guess this one is Nezara viridula, too.
