Myotis septentrionalis
A friend took me to an abandoned cave in western Massachusetts where he'd been monitoring the bats for a couple decades. There were 4 species of bats in there, with almost 6,000 individuals. A few years after this spotting, white nose disease was discovered in the northeast and the cave has been off limits since.

Thanks Olivia. That one was half hidden and just showing its cute face:-)
Cute! Especially the one that seems to be peeping out.
Thanks Yuko, who could not like one of these bats:-)
Cute fluffy fellows!
Thanks RiekoS. It was quite an experience walking through the cave with headlamps and some of the bats flying around us!
Wow.
