Snowy-browed Flycatcher

Ficedula hyperythra

Description:

Saw something small moving about on the dimly lit forest floor but could not make it out, looked on the laptop in the hotel and thought it could be a Rubycheek and only ID'd it properly when I put it on the big PC at home. These pictures were taken at ISO 12800 with a 300mm lens and I could still only get 1/160 sec, shutter speed! Luckily my software program was able to extract some detail. If you look carefully at the third and fourth pictures you can just see the female.

Habitat:

Tropical Montane rainforest @ c 1900m alt.
