Trinidad mountain crab

Pseudotelphusa garmani

Description:

This brightly coloured crab was seen on a night walk around the grounds of Asa Wrights in Trinidad, its not somewhere I would have expected to see a crab...In the mountainous rainforests but that makes it very aptly named and I have assumed that as it is very similar to Tom Ms photo and in the same location that it is the same species, possibly even the same crab.

Habitat:

This one was located near to Asa Wrights nature centre in Trinidad and from the name I am assuming it is an endemic species only found in certain parts of Trinidad.

Notes:

I noticed that Tom M had a very similar spotting so used the ID from his to name this one.
