Solanum sp.
Very sparse and fragile vine growing among grass stems. The first image is a bit misleading as flowers were more upright. About 15mm flower, pink with an obvious star in the middle. Few flowers spaced apart and low to the ground with the tallest being 30cm and draped over some twigs. The leaves are also few.
Small stand of flowers among sparse and dry natural grasses by a trail on a severely stressed area of open bushland. The plants were in dappled shade on clay soil
file # pink star flowers. The second image has the best identifying leaf but I don't know how to describe that feature scientifically to find it. I suspect it is rare. No references have matched it yet
Thank you Ashish Nimkar. That is good research but not the identity of this plant. The amazing bindweed is a much larger flower and the bush has more mass.
If this is matching or not....
I feel this is matching....
