Description:

The leaves look so different from most pawpaws. They have woody stems like others in the genus though, and when they flower the relation is also apparent.

Habitat:

Oak-dominated area at Watermelon Pond Wildlife and Environmental Area. Surrounding were lots of grasses and some scattered shrubs.
