Brown centipede

Lithobius forficatus

Description:

Reddish-brown centipede, approximately 20 mm from end to end (excluding appendages). Moves very quickly when threatened, using 15 pairs of legs. Also observed cleaning its front antennae by "flossing" them through its mouth.

Habitat:

Found in a basement washroom.
