I did some spotting my last day in Dominica down by the coast in Marigot. There were a few of these pelicans around.

Thanks for the ID Jake. As for the coloration, I'm not sure. Could be the tropical climate.

Beautiful! I am only confused about one thing, it breeds in the summer, and the reddish neck is only visible during breeding season. Perhaps because of the warmer temperature they breed at the same time.
