Description:

Photo take in my backyard this is a common bird in this area as usual it moves in groups searching the jungle floor looking for bugs. It measures 30–36 cm in length and weighs 71–133 gr .The adult is mainly flat black, with a long tail, deep ridged black bill and a brown iris. The flight is weak and wobbly, but the bird runs well and usually feeds on the ground.

Habitat:

This Ani is found in open and semi-open country and areas. It is a resident breeding species from southern Florida, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, parts of Central America, south to western Ecuador, Brazil, and northern Argentina.

HI GERARDO, I CAN SEE THAT THIS BIRD HAS THE BILLED WITH GROOVES, SO THIS IS THE OTHER SPECIE OF CROTOPHAGA (SULCIROSTRIS), THE CROPOPHAGA ANI HAS A SMOOTH BILLED.
YOU HAVE WONDERFUL PICS!!!
