Phaethornis guy
These were one of the larger Hummingbirds that fed from the honey water at Asa Wright's, (aound 5.5") .This is a species where the male forms a Lek to attract females and their calls are a loud 'swark'. It inhabits forest undergrowth, usually near water, and prefers hilly areas. It seems to favor primary rainforest and wet premontane forest.
Seen at the nectar feeders of Asa Wright's in the mountainous rainforest of Trinidad.
