Peony

Description:

White peony with outer pale pink petals

Habitat:

Old previous homesight

Notes:

Spindly peony bush surviving alone in the forest long after the previous home sight had been left abandoned for generations. We’ve trimmed the neighboring growth around it, so now it should enjoy more sunlight and we’ll take note if next year it has more than two flowers. I find the center of the bloom intriguing. Can you see how hairy they are in the picture? And each has a little drop oozing out.
