Viola macloskeyi
This violet has a wide variety of common names. A small native white violet. The taxonomy of white violets has undergone significant revisions within the past several years, and many violets that were once considered separate species have been combined. One result of this is that features once considered diagnostic of one species or another (e.g., the red flower stem pictured here). The main reason that I'm calling this V. macloskeyi is the rounded leaves. The leaf on the far right in the second picture was the most pointed one among several nearby plants. Most leaves were nearly circular (as you can see among other leaves in the picture).
Moist woods.
