Nudibranch

Asteronotus hepaticus

Description:

Large and similar in size to previous spotting of its cousin Asteronotus cespitosus (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/193...). About 25 cm with lumps all over the body. Unlike it's more colorful cousin, this one was all dark red.

Habitat:

Sandy bottom

Notes:

Not exactly sure of common name. Not much information on the web. Night dive at a depth of about 6.5 m. Dive and Trek classroom, Batangas, Philippines
